Graphics are normally bloated creatures with extra color information in them that increases their size unnecessarily. Reducing that color information in a graphic is called optimization. I have gone beyond that and drained any information from the graphics that I did't need, and clipped their sizes to a minimum. I've done this to stay within my account size limits and to speed download time to its fastest.
Nothing and I'm not. I'm just an average grrl who found that Netscape and Explorer render code very differently. I felt like telling the world about it. I also felt that graphics help a bunch.
This FAQ was started on 6/17/00. As of this date I can safely say I am running out of room on my AOL account. I honestly didn't think the site would grow so fast. If I keep up the good response I've been getting, I'm going to have to go out and get my own domain in a month, maybe less.
UPDATE 08/04/00: I have my own domain, sort of. The site you are viewing, browsercomparison.esmartweb.com is as close to my own domain as I'm willing to go at this point.
I really would like to help you all with specific problems - I hate to see anyone in a jam - but I really don't have the time. I have a meatspace job and then the sites I maintain take up the rest of my time. I will give hints whenever possible.
